Our Founding Story!
We believe in technology that matters. We champion bold, purpose-driven innovations that address real social and environmental challenges.
Deep Tech Collective began with a shared vision developed by Carina, Anja, Nina, and Paula. Drawing on years of experience in volunteering, nonprofit leadership, and women's empowerment initiatives, they shared a common conviction: innovation thrives when people with diverse perspectives, disciplines, and backgrounds come together.
Inspired by this belief, they set out to build a non-profit association that creates space for collaboration, lifelong learning, and more inclusive participation in emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, quantum computing, robotics, and other deep tech fields.
What started as an idea quickly became a collective effort. More people joined the journey, bringing together twelve co-founders and a growing community of volunteers to co-create Deep Tech Collective.
In May 2025, this vision became reality with the official founding of Deep Tech Collective e.V., bringing members together both in person and online.
And because every milestone deserves to be celebrated, one of our members even baked a homemade founding cake. A small but meaningful reminder that community and passion have always been at the heart of Deep Tech Collective.
Shaping the Association
Building Deep Tech Collective meant more than registering an association.
Together, our volunteers and members created the foundations for a collaborative organization: setting up teams, developing our brand identity, designing educational and community formats, building our digital infrastructure and creating the foundations for a collaborative organization.
From governance and statutes to workshops, conferences, learning circles and partnerships, every milestone has been shaped by people who share a commitment to diversity, collaboration, lifelong learning and the belief that innovation is strengthened by bringing together different perspectives.
